On 10–11 June, the Polaris Programme “Supporting Multilevel Governance in Ukraine” held a strategic session in Kyiv. Over two days, team members from various regions of Ukraine, together with international experts, gathered to review the progress made during the first half of 2025 and to chart the way forward in strengthening multilevel governance in Ukraine.
The discussions focused on the team’s achievements and opportunities to reinforce multilevel governance. Special attention was paid to the effectiveness of the Programme’s initiatives and to fostering synergy with partners.
The session provided a meaningful platform for exchanging experience, including cross-thematic presentations from teams working across the Programme’s different components. This approach helped reveal intersectoral linkages, shape a shared vision, and identify key areas for enhanced collaboration.
The strategic session in Kyiv became a significant step towards strengthening team coordination, refining priorities, and building a collective path forward to enhance the capacity of local self-government bodies and support the sustainable development of hromadas across Ukraine.
