On 13 May, the team of the Swedish–Ukrainian programme Polaris – Supporting Multilevel Governance in Ukraine paid a working visit to Mykolaiv Oblast and met with the team of the Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration and its Head, Vitalii Kim. The meeting focused on discussing the next steps in cooperation between the programme and the oblast, particularly in terms of hromada recovery and the development of Administrative Centres Services Centres (ASC) at the local level.
Mykolaiv Oblast is one of two pilot oblasts where Polaris is implementing an initiative to develop roadmaps for ASC improvement. As part of the project in Mykolaiv Oblast, the programme will assess the current state of ASC using its digital tool, develop tailored roadmaps, support the creation of new offices, prepare a regional action plan, and organise training for hromada representatives.
Vitalii Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration, expressed his gratitude to Polaris for its continued support:
“We are sincerely grateful to the Polaris team for their systematic support of our hromadas. At a time when Mykolaiv Oblast is actively recovering, digitalisation becomes not only a tool for convenience, but also for transparency and efficiency. We strive to ensure that residents of every hromada can access quality services without unnecessary bureaucracy or time loss,” he said.
The Kobleve and Novyi Buh hromadas of Mykolaiv Oblast are also actively cooperating with Polaris within the Locally-led Recovery direction. This helps hromadas plan comprehensive recovery, identify priority projects that meet local needs, and promote local development during wartime.
Polaris will continue supporting the hromadas of Mykolaiv Oblast, contributing to improved service accessibility and fostering local recovery and development.
