On 12 June, Deputy Minister of Finance Roman Yermolychev met with Alexander Mazurkin, Polaris Programme Manager, Susanna Dellans, Polaris Team Leader in Ukraine, and programme experts.
The parties discussed the enhancement of the automated education management system "AIKOM" and the improvement of the formula-based mechanism for allocating educational subsidies, and they expressed mutual interest in continued cooperation across the programme’s areas of focus in Ukraine.

"It is essential for the Ministry of Finance to have a solid regulatory framework in place for distributing educational subsidies both for the September–December 2025 period and for 2026. Without updated and verified data on student numbers, there is a risk of repeated reallocation of funds. We are committed to avoiding this. That is why we value constructive dialogue with all stakeholders working to streamline the education data system and ensure effective allocation of state budget resources. We maintain daily communication with the line ministry, as our shared goal is to guarantee children access to quality education," Roman Yermolychev emphasised during the meeting.
The Programme representatives reaffirmed their openness to continued collaboration with both the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education and Science, particularly on issues related to education data and subsidy allocation mechanisms.
