The Polaris Programme continues to actively support the institutional capacity development of its partners, including the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MoES). As part of a comprehensive initiative aimed at strengthening MoES, the programme supports improvements in the governance and financing of general secondary education under decentralisation.
Within this long-term cooperation, Polaris experts provide both analytical and advisory support to the Ministry. In parallel, the programme is helping to enhance MoES’s ability to carry out complex tasks – particularly in developing, calculating, implementing and monitoring the formula for distributing educational subventions.
To support this process, Polaris recently provided 22 computers to the Directorate of Strategic Planning and Recovery of the Ministry. In addition, the programme organised a three-level MS Excel course – from basic to advanced – for 30 MoES employees. Upon completion of the main training modules, selected participants will receive individual mentoring sessions with Polaris experts.
This approach helps to improve the efficiency of education management processes, promotes transparency in education financing, and strengthens the Ministry’s overall institutional capacity in the education sector.
