Addressing the issue of domestic violence requires coordinated efforts, inter-agency cooperation, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The Polaris Programme offers expert support in this area for hromadas that are ready to find effective solutions.
What We Offer:
- Strengthening capacity for inter-agency cooperation (including an offline idea residency directly in your community, follow-up online consultations, and the development of an interaction algorithm for entities involved in preventing and combating domestic violence).
- Developing recommendations on specific mechanisms to improve cooperation among stakeholders in the field of domestic violence prevention and response.
- Sharing best practices between hromadas on preventing and combating domestic violence.
A total of eight hromadas will be selected for cooperation throughout 2025.
Selection Criteria:
The primary criteria for selection include:
- The hromada must be rural.
- Clear motivation to work in the field of domestic violence prevention and response (to be described in the application form).
Who Can Apply?
A structural unit responsible for activities related to preventing and combating gender-based violence, including domestic violence, at the executive committee level of any rural hromada in Ukraine under the control of the Ukrainian government.

Partner hromadas will be selected by 14 April 2025.
