We assist in the integrated and comprehensive planning of recovery efforts in communities affected by the full-scale invasion. We also implement crisis support
What We Do
We provide technical assistance to hromadas for comprehensive recovery planning, identifying projects that meet their needs and aim to stimulate local development during wartime. This enables local authorities to attract investment more effectively and restore damaged infrastructure. Our goal is to ensure sustainable development of regions, to foster synergies between local and regional planning, and to assist Ukraine's EU-integration.
How We Act
We apply a comprehensive approach that involves stakeholders at various levels in the recovery process. This includes assessing the needs and capacities of communities, developing strategies, securing funding, providing technical assistance, and monitoring projects. We collaborate with the government of Ukraine, international organisations, donors and local partners to maximise our impact.
Key Priorities
- Ensuring active participation of local self-government in the development and implementation of recovery plans;
- A comprehensive approach: addressing all necessary areas of recovery and related areas (housing, infrastructure, services, economy, displaced persons, gender sensitivity);
- Utilising a wide range of data sources for decision-making;
- Developing plans that take into account future needs and risks;
- Cooperation and dialogue with local self-government associations, expert organisations, and international partners, as well as advocating local experience at the level of national policy;
- Considering the local context in spatial planning and adhering to the current legislation of Ukraine.
