Municipal partnerships for Ukraine’s recovery and EU integration
Waht We Do
We encourage European municipalities to express solidarity for and support their Ukrainian peers through municipal partnerships, transfer of knowledge, humanitarian support and joint implementation of projects. We promote Ukrainian municipalities as reliable partners, showcase their resilience and democratic governance and advocate for their vivid role in Ukraine's EU integration. We boost peer-to-peer experience exchange and support among Ukrainian municipalities, sewing the country together and promoting in-country solidarity.
How We Act
- We run the networking platform Cities4Cities with over 400 profiles of Ukrainian municipalities looking for partners.
- We support Ukrainian and European municipalities on their way to partnerships by providing expert advice, networking possibilities, inspiration through best practices, and information on funding opportunities.
- We involve local governments and all-Ukrainian local self-government associations into dialogue with Ukrainian government and EU institutions on important aspects related to their role in recovery and EU integration.
- We gather and share the practical knowledge about municipal cooperation, international cooperation, EU integration and project management through our Cities4Cities Academy and Residences of Ideas - creative experience exchange seminars for local self-government leaders.

- Advocacy for the active role of LSGs in the EU integration processes;
- Enhancing the capacities of local communities for recovery and EU integration.
